SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is a belief, an education, a way of life, a commitment.
It hasn’t escaped your attention that everyone is talking about sustainability, eco-responsibility, "green," and "slow." When browsing online store pages, the vast majority of them present more or less the same discourse, revolving around the same points and illustrated with the same photos. The words have been emptied of their meaning; they’re there because they must be. Even large fast-fashion brands try to convince us that with recycled polyester and pictures of smiling artisans taken at the ends of the earth, they are tackling the issue head-on.
Yet, there seems to be a disconnect. Several, in fact.
Today, sustainability is an investment that’s costly upfront. Few are willing to sacrifice part of their time, margin, or opportunities for the cause.
